a city in the heart of europe.

Berlin is a great city …. Come and see for yourself!

Reconstruction

Since the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 Berlin has seen a construction boom, which has transformed the City Centre. The German Parliament, the Reichstag, has undergone extensive restoration, and the metal and glass dome roof, designed by Sir Norman Foster, has become a recognised feature of Berlin.

Potzdamer Platz has been restored to the prominence it enjoyed in the 1920’s, having been divided in two by the Berlin Wall. An impressive railway station and the European HQ of Sony are features of the new Potzdamer Platz. The Brandenburg Gate frames the embassies and luxury hotels of the Unter Den Linden.

Luxury Shopping

The Ku’Damm, with its luxury retail outlet KaDeWe offers a high quality shopping experience right in the centre of Berlin. A short train or bus ride takes you to Steglitz, en equally impressive shopping area on Schloss Strasse. Berlin has many self contained districts all easily accessible by car or public transport with a full range of shopping possibilities. Friedrichstrasse and Prenzlauer Berg are very popular with both Berliners and visitors to the city.

Parks and Lakes

Many visitors are pleasantly surprised just how green Berlin is, with parks and huge lakes surrounding the City. Located right in the City Centre is the Tiergarten, a haven for joggers, walkers and Berliners enjoying some fresh air. Visitors arriving by air have an opportunity to see the forests and lakes which provide such a rich variety of recreational activities for Berliners. Berlin has also a tradition of initiatives which support the environment and the superior public transport system is an economical and pleasant way to travel around the City.

International Travel

Berlin is rapidly becoming a recognised focal point between east and west. The new HauptBahnhof is an ultra modern railway station with national routes across Germany and beyond. Located within walking distance of the German Parliament, the structure of HauptBahnhof complements the architectural design of the Reichstag. Already well served by three airports, work has begun on a new international airport, Berlin Brandenburg International (BBI), which will place the new BBI strategically as one of the most important hub airports in the world. The new airport will boost the already rapidly rising income from travel and tourism, which is benefiting the Berlin economy. Berlin is also easily accessible by road through the superior network of Autobahn routes across Germany.

History and Culture

Of course, the history of Berlin ensures a fascinating variety of universities, museums, historical buildings, art galleries and culture that has attracted world attention for decades. Very few cities in the world have such a concentration of artistic talent as Berlin and culture is very much a part of the fabric of the city. Media and technology companies are a factor behind the economic regeneration of Berlin and young people are attracted to the vibrancy of the German capital city.

Economic Reforms

After the challenges of re-unification since 1989, Berlin is now experiencing unprecedented investment from professional real estate investors, attracted by the low price per square metre and high rental yields. Significant reforms are being carried out in German industry and the Social Security system is being re-organised. Germany has a strong export market and this is now complemented by efficiencies in the internal market, including the Banking sector.

Whether you want “Einen Koffer in Berlin” (literally a suitcase/place in Berlin ) for yourself or you are looking for a profitable return from investment property.
